I had a friend who drove on two flats for something like 5 miles. When he called me the next day to help him change the flats, he asked if there were any junkyards I knew because he thought he'd damaged the wheels.
The flanges and bead where the tires seat were bent completely flat, and what was left of the wheel looked like a cylinder......
