Robin Meade - The Star Spangled Banner

(via)
Unapologetic.  Most of the News Media is that way about their leftist slant.  That counts double at CNN's Head Line News (HLN) division.  The people there don't feel the need to stick up for America or American values.

Except Robin Meade. Her first day on-air at HLN was September 11, 2001.

Perhaps uniquely among the MSM Talking Heads, she's released a Country Album, Brand New Day.  She also has performed the National Anthem, most recently at the Braves-Dodgers post season opener.  Here she is from earlier in the year performing it at a NASCAR race.

The Establishment is riddled, through and through, with sanity.  It does not always dare to speak its voice, but the hysterical reaction to Leftist Received Wisdom is the tell: after all, it's the kicked dog that yelps.  The fact that CNN has a host who is unashamed to sing our Anthem at a NASCAR race says much that is quite optimistic for the future of this Res Publica.

Ms. Meade's new single Dirty Laundry is a quite funny (if breathlessly cynical) statement on the news media.  Worth a careful listen.

"Bubble-headed bleach blonde" indeed.  This is satire sharp as the finest aged English cheddar:
Listen closely and you can hear Robin Meade winking throughout her debut single ‘Dirty Laundry,’ off of her new album ‘Brand New Day,’ available on June 21. It’s a cover of the Don Henley song, and Meade sings it with conviction.

The irony of a newswoman covering this assault on the news industry makes this song worth a few listens. More than anything, it makes one want to tune in to CNN’s ‘Morning Express with Robin Meade’ to explore more of her mischievous personality.
Well played, Ms. Meade.  And thank you.  From the bottom of my heart, thank you.

Obviously a fine talent, this lady.

Too bad she's aligned herself with HLN -- gotta be rough.

Good vocal talent, too!
