Girlie Shooting

So I went to the range in preparation for tomorrow, well later today now. I'm taking my young friend shooting for the first time, and I wanted to make sure that I could still hit what I aim at. A young woman in the play I just finished has a gun that her father gave her that she has never fired, and I am going to remedy that. So, good for her dad for being concerned for his daughter's safety on moving to Atlanta after graduating from college, but shame on him for not making sure she knew how to use it. You wouldn't just get your kid a car and not teach him to drive would you? Anyway, I'm really looking forward to seeing her again and taking her shooting. I wanted it to just be us girls for first time, then if she likes it, she can go with her boyfriend later. Anyway, I hadn't been shooting for quite a while, and I was in need on some recoil therapy. The range had new guns to rent and I was able to compare the Walther PPK side by side with my Sig P230. They are very similar, but the Walther was a bit smaller and lighter. It was fun to shoot. For a moment, I even considered trading in my P230 for a Walther they had for sale, but decided the size and weight difference wasn't enough. The owner showed me his FN Herstal five-seven, and I'm going to rent one tomorrow. I will post more later.

If you're feeling experimental, and will be around north ATL, I'll be out breaking in my CZ's. you may be a convert. ;)
