... to give up amphetamines start "aggressive" pat-downs.

You know what? Leave airline security to the airlines. People will decide with their wallets how much security they want/will tolerate.

But the thing is, people do have to start taking some responsibility for themselves.

Travel, any travel, even to and from work has risk. This morning I saw a guy who ran into a patch of black ice and smashed up his SUV.

If, God forbid, something did happen, the family can't sue the airlines, the airports, and the airplane manufacturers. Americans have to stop blaming others when bad stuff happens if there has been a reasonable attempt to stop it.
