Paranoid

You have to be paranoid to carry a gun. I mean, what could happen at a bowling alley?

Glad you posted that link - and he's a fellow Texan, to boot :) I couldn't have put it better myself.

I keep a police radio scanner going all of the time to keep track of the places that get most of our police calls. We have two bowling alleys and both usually get some sort of mob action going on friday and saturday nights.

Heh, we had a "quick mart" that made 85 police calls in one year; the owner was shot on two different occasions during that year. The franchise closed that store and arranged for the owner to buy into a safer one ... in Chicago no less.

A few years back an attorney was carjacked in broad daylight from a 'self car wash' that was in a good neighborhood. Two punks drove him to a remote location, but two bullets into him, then ran him over with his own car.

Yeah, I be paranoid ... I can't carry in Illinois ... only politicians and criminals have that right.

Borepatch,

Thanks for the links.

Folks thanks for the kind words and confirmation that if I'm crazy I am not the only one and I'm crazy in the right direction.
