Tasty, too.

Google isn't mowing the grass at its Mountain View secret lair* anymore. Instead, it's using goats to keep the grass under control.

A herder brings about 200 goats and they spend roughly a week with us at Google, eating the grass and fertilizing at the same time. The goats are herded with the help of Jen, a border collie. It costs us about the same as mowing, and goats are a lot cuter to watch than lawn mowers.
Mmmm, goat! Or even better - If you like animals, you'll love lamb goat!

* Of course it's a lair. "Don't be evil"? Puhleese.

UPDATE 4 May 2009 22:13: Welcome folks visiting via Google Blog! More snark here.

Amen Brother Ted, A-freakin-men.

Goat is deeeeee-lish. Cook it like lamb, have it curried, roasted, chopped, whatever. Very yummy. Sadly, my wife had a pet goat during the summers she spent in the Carribean as a kid . . . can't have pets on the dinner table. Ahhhhh, goat.
