Science news: New Element discovered

This doesn't happen very often, and I'm sure that it's coincidental that the discovery took place around the recent election. I'm sure it's also coincidental that this is the heaviest element discovered so far:

The Heaviest Element Known to Science

Lawrence Livermore Laboratories has discovered the heaviest element yet known to science.

The new element, Governmentium (Gv), has one neutron, 25 assistant neutrons, 88 deputy neutrons, and 198 assistant deputy neutrons, giving it an atomic mass of 312.

Heh. RTWT, for such nuggets of snark as "isodopes", "critical morass", and what happens when it is catalyzed with money.

Now that's some quality intellectual snark there, that is.
